Alter Nature – My biological (r)evolution is a collaboration between the Media and Design Academy, Genk (MDA), Provinciale Hogeschool, Hasselt (PHL); z33 – House for contemporary art, Hasselt and Bioscenter (KULeuven) .The goal of the project is to have students work together around the topics raised by developments in bioscience and -technology, more specifically those within synthetic biology. The project takes place during the first semester of the year within the module ‘Stories’ (module for the master students Communication and Multimedia design of the MDA) and the ateliers ‘Painting’ (students 2BA Painting of the PHL ) and ‘New Media’ (master students of the PHL).
