Eutropolis – imagine a city is an initiative of the SocialBeta Foundation in co-creation with NEIMED, Maurer United Architects and several other partners.

We challenge designers, urbanists, photographers, researchers and other disciplines to imagine a city called Eutropolis. Share with us your idea or dream about Eutropolis and it’s future. Your contribution might be a graphic design, an essay, a poem, a photoshoot or an artwork.

The publication will be spread throughout Eutropolis with your work included. Also, you’ll be our guest at the TEDxEutropolis conference on the 4th of February 2012 in Hasselt (B).

The 8th International Design & Emotion Conference will take place in London at the 11th-14th September 2012.  This conference is a forum held every other year where practitioners, academics and industry leaders meet and exchange knowledge and insights concerning the cross-disciplinary field of design and emotion. They currently have an open call to submit proposals for papers, case studies and workshops/masterclasses.

On May 21st, DESIS (Design for Social Innovation and Sustainability) will host DESIS Forum/Paris – which will be held back-to-back with the Cumulus Conference ‘Crossing Talents: transversality in design’ – in Paris, France. DESIS Forum is about moving beyond mainstream models of thinking and doing and inventing new ways of living and producing. They are viable and sustainable solutions to complex problems such as: social cohesion, urban regeneration, accessibility to healthy food, water and sustainable energy management. DESIS Forum is a format conceived to give design teachers and students the opportunity to showcase their projects, to present them and to exchange their experiences in the field of design for social innovation and sustainability.

And to do so, DESIS has launched a call to submit projects in the format of “4-slides exhibit – 4-minutes presentations”. The collected projects will be presented in a light exhibition in the DESIS Forum and uploaded in the DESIS website. If you will be present at the DESIS Forum the May 21st in Paris, you may also be invited to make a short 4 minutes oral presentation of the project.

- and you’ve graduated or you’re a final year master’s student at the Media, Arts & Design Faculty (a collaboration between KHLim and PHL) or PHL Architecture?

Then CREATIVE DRIVE Limburg, Design Platform Limburg (Provincie Limburg), C-mine (stad Genk) and MAD Faculty (Media Arts Design Faculty, a collaboration between KHLim and PHL) have launched a call for you!
